METHODOLOGY

Phase 1 of Municipal Enquiry was undertaken in 2021 and was dedicated to speaking to people and groups in the UK currently working to build alternative forms of grassroots, municipal and community power. We especially looked to talk to those helping to create public spaces and decision making processes focused on the common good, those addressing basic needs and those helping to address the multiplying interconnected crises of inequality, racism and democracy currently impacting communities and localities across the UK. 

 

Findings, reports and insights from these investigations have been published on this website along with the final report from phase 1 of this work and Municipal Enquiry will seek to encourage as broad a public debate as possible about what emerges.
